Leading Innovation In the Recycled Plastic Industry

Back in November 2021, the UK played host to the United Nations Climate Change Conference, more commonly referred to as COP26.

This saw environmental thought leaders, governments and companies from around the world convene in Glasgow to discuss the ever pressing problems surrounding our reliance on fossil fuels and the resulting impact this has on the environment.

As part of this, we have developed a number of different branded materials, each of which offer benefits in an eclectic range of industries. This includes our Duraplas brand, which is manufactured from 100% recycled plastic, and comes in various forms with a view to serving clients involved in fabrication, landscaping, construction and much more.

One of the class leading products we have produced as part of the Duraplas range is Duraplas profile. This product has cemented our reputation as one of the leading recycled plastic lumber suppliers in the UK, proving to be an ideal alternative to traditional materials such as timber. Duraplas Profile is not only more environmentally friendly, but also often proves to be more cost effective on account of its additional durability.

Duraplas Profile can be used for a variety of purposes being capable for, but not limited to, use in the production of boardwalks, outdoor furniture and fencing. The product is manufactured from HDPE plastic to ensure increased strength and durability. This helps it to withstand the elements over a longer period of time, ensuring that Duraplas Profile can offer a lifespan which is four times that of traditional timber.

The Duraplas brand is also well known within the agricultural industry, as it is also used as the basis for our Duraplas Rigi Board product. This has proven to be a far more effective solution than either timber or plywood in the construction of animal fencing and shelters as it is both water and chemical resistant.

This is just a short selection of the many recycled plastic materials which form part of the Centriforce product range, with other brands including Locata, Taptile and also the ever popular and versatile Stokbord collection.
