Locata® Detectable Tape
Locata® Detectable Tape is a brightly coloured, non-adhesive tape, offering early visible warning and identification of a buried service. It has the added benefit of a stainless steel tracer wire running through it, which means it can be detected from the surface using cable avoidance tools (CAT and genny) prior to excavation.
The steel tracer wires at the end of each roll are joined together using crimps. This supports signal tracing along the length of the trench. Locata Detectable Tape is usually installed a specified distance above the service line. It is ideal for use be used in combination with Stokbord® Cover or Tapetile®.
Centriforce’s Locata tapes are made made from high quality and very durable polymers which are resistant to most soil types. We have a standard offer for marking electricity, gas, water and telecoms services. However, custom options are available, including text, colour and language.
