Locata® Detectable Tape

Locata® Detectable Warning Tape is a brightly coloured visual warning device installed underground to alert people when digging a potential high voltage cable or pipeline below.

It is manufactured in different lengths, widths, and colours to meet customer needs and a wide range of customer specifications.

Locata® Detectable Warning Tape is traceable by means of a corrosion resistant stainless-steel wire(s) , that is laminated to the printed text tape.

The purpose of the wire is to aid in the detection from above ground of a buried utility.

Detection from above ground is possible using CAT & Genny system (Cable Avoidance Tools and Generator).

Locata® Detectable Warning Tape does not offer any mechanical protection against a utility strike.

This product is available in different sizes to meet customer requirements.
