Low Wray campsite is an extremely popular and busy, National Trust owned campsite situated right on the shore of Lake Windermere just outside Ambleside.

Location: Low wray

A new recycled plastic boardwalk was installed over some very wet and boggy ground on the lake shore.  This completely new walkway opened up access to some lovely beaches and picnic spots on the shoreline as well as some stunning views over Lake Windermere and local fells.  The walkway also allows walking access to Wray Castle which was previously only accessible from the campsite via a much longer road and pathway.
