Centriforce, the leading international supplier of utility protection covers and tapes, has introduced Underground Warning Tape to its range to provide service line owners and contractors with a universally-compliant identification layer that alerts to the presence of below-ground utilities.
Underground Warning Tape is a purpose-designed printed marker tape which provides an “identification layer” that is installed at a specified distance from the service line to warn any future excavators of the presence of buried utilities.
Conforming to ENA-TS 12-23 Issue 3, 2013, warning tape is manufactured from lead-free pigments and does not degrade in most soil types, including alkaline and acid soils. Centriforce, has secured approvals for its utility warning products from utility companies in many countries across the world.
Underground Warning Tape is available in a range of widths in both 0.1mm (premium), and 0.05mm (economy), thicknesses. It can also be custom-manufactured to individual specifications. Available in a range of different colours, it can be printed with logos and warning messages in any specified language. It is expected to find a broad range of applications internationally to alert for the presence of electric, telecoms and fibre-optic cables as well as gas, water and sewer pipelines.
Underground Warning Tape is often used in combination with Centriforce’s Stokbord® cable protection tiles and Tapetile® cable protection tape, already well established as cable protection solutions, both in the UK and internationally.
Says Ronnie Doctor, Marketing Manager of Centriforce: “We are delighted to add Warning Tape to our utility cable protection portfolio. It’s a natural extension to our product line which enables Centriforce to offer a more complete range of utility protection solutions to our customers.”
Centriforce is fully accredited to ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001.
