Bere Regis

Location: Elder Road, Bere Regis

Elder Road Open Space in Bere Regis runs alongside the Bere Stream. The open space was created in the late 1980's as informal recreational space, for the quiet enjoyment of the riverside environment. Part of the site is designated as a Site of Nature Conservation Interest, mainly for the damp riverside vegetation that occurs.

Boardwalk installation alongside the Bere Stream

This walkway was designed by FILCRIS and installed by 'Conservation Matters' on behalf of Purbeck Districk Council. The boardwalk replaced a traditional timber construction that had fallen into disrepair through deterioration and vandalism. The new boardwalk provides a durable, maintenance free, anti-vandal solution that will provide a long lasting and safe solution for visitors.
