Centriforce's new GroundMate® temporary ground protection system has been given a warm welcome by visitors to the Showman's Show, the UK's premier exhibition of outdoor events services.
Feedback from visitors suggests that GroundMate access mats are a much-needed solution for ground protection at outdoor exhibitions and events enabling vehicular access even in soft and boggy ground conditions. GroundMate also offers the advantage of grass protection, preserving sensitive landscaped areas.
Not only do GroundMate access mats offer effective ground protection, the mats are made from 100% recycled plastic, are completely reusable and are fully recyclable after use.
Some 5,000 visitors were expected at the Showman's Show on 19-20 October at Newbury Showground in Berkshire, including many organisers of outdoor events and country shows. Said Ronnie Doctor, Centriforce's marketing manager: "Feedback from attendees at the Showman's Show suggest that the GroundMate access mats provide a cost-effective solution to temporary access on soft ground, as well as for grass protection. They also liked the fact that GroundMate access mats are made of UK 100% recycled plastic and can be reused time and again".
GroundMate access mats offer a tough and durable substitute to traditional ground protection materials such as plywood. Water and slip-resistant, they will not rot or delaminate and cost up to 50% less than alternative systems.Purpose-designed to protect soft and/or grassy ground from machinery and vehicles, GroundMate can help organisers and exhibitors to protect showgrounds from the sudden influx of light, medium and heavy vehicles and enable trouble-free access.
GroundMate access mats have an anti-slip tread finish on one side and a 'diamond-embossed' finish on the other. They can be easily lifted or dragged into position using the preformed hand-holds and a 'trailing hook' is also available to aid installation.
GroundMate access mats are manufactured from 100% recycled polymer waste feedstock, sourced from plastic bottles, carrier bags and transportation film - packaging that would otherwise be destined for landfill or export.
